Orotones
Many people have asked us, exactly what is an “Orotone?” Here we make collodion positives from actual negatives and either back the image with gold foil, or a gold (actually bronze-powder) emulsion. An Orotone possesses a quality and luminescence that can only be experienced in person. Contact us to have an image preserved (they are as archival as regular collodion images) as an Orotone or to learn the process yourself.
